The Manitoba government is extending a unique invitation to its residents and visitors: Manitoba Provincial Parks are free to visit this weekend from June 7 through June 9, 2024.
Experience the natural beauty of provincial parks for free and enjoy a fishing adventure without needing a licence. While the offer excludes national parks, where a federal licence is required, it presents a perfect opportunity for both seasoned anglers and novices alike to explore Manitoba’s rich fishing spots.
Although vehicle permits are waived to ensure easy access to all provincial parks, regular camping fees remain in effect.
All fishing activities comply with all necessary regulations, such as possession limits and size restrictions, to maintain the ecological balance.
Adding to the experience, park visitors can join guided tours at the Whiteshell Fish Hatchery within Whiteshell Provincial Park. Here, one can delve into the intricacies of fish stocking, view the hatchery operations, and see thousands of trout being raised in outdoor tanks.
