Events Description
Doug Mackie will take you down a road of chatter, stories and lessons where you discover the basics of carving your own diamond willow stick.
You can bring your own knife for whittling; knives will be provided. Between the two classes you will be lent a knife to work on your walking stick. If not finished by the end of the classes you will need to purchase one for yourself : Mora Companion Bushcraft Knife
Group that this is best suited for: anyone old enough to hold a knife!
You will walk away with your walking sticks.
Please note
This is a 2 day course. Participants must attend both sessions.
All materials will be provided for this program.
This workshop takes place in the Ben & Rose Puchniak Woodshop at FortWhyte Farms.
Anyone below the age of 17 must be accompanied by an adult, also registered in the course.
