Daan (Tagalog for “the road”) is a vibrant celebration of musical theatre, led by powerhouse performers Ma-Anne Dionisio and Stephanie Sy. This one-night-only concert blends beloved Broadway hits, exciting contemporary works from the Filipino-Canadian canon, and a thrilling sneak peek at Rizal, our upcoming musical about the life and times of José Rizal.
Backed by a live band, with book and music by Winnipeg’s own Joseph Aragon, Daan celebrates Filipino culture while showcasing the past, present and future of musical theatre. This one-of-a-kind concert and creative unveiling offers a rare glimpse into the making of Canada’s next great musical, and the voices shaping the next chapter of Filipino-Canadian theatre.
