Classic Rivals: 60 Labour Day Clashes
After officially first meeting on Labour Day in 1949, the Saskatchewan Roughriders and Winnipeg Blue Bombers met frequently in Regina through the decades. Over the past four decades, the meeting of the prairie foes has been a consistent fixture, leading to this season’s 60th Labour Day Classic clash.
This mini exhibit, Classic Rivals: 60 Labour Day Clashes, looks all the way back to the first meeting in 1949 and highlights some memorable moments and shocking upsets from Labour Days past. It is on display now at the Hall of Fame.
