Kitchener-Waterloo‘s famous heritage train ride through the Waterloo Region countryside on the historic railway branch between Waterloo and the Town of Elmira is returning after a lengthy closure induced by COVID-19.

The not-for-profit museum heritage railway, the Waterloo Central Railway is beginning its tours with Farmers Market Day train ride that will take you through Woolwich Township’s and Waterloo Region’s bountiful farms.

Experience the ever-changing landscapes and enjoy the wide-open view of the countryside and the Mennonite farms which can only be seen on this train ride.

You can board the train from Waterloo Northfield Drive Station or St. Jacob’s Farmers Market Station for this 90-minute train ride to Elmira and back.

At Emira, you can go on an optional Mennonite Country Wagon Tour offered by Elmira Wagon Tours.
