Events Description
Residents and visitors are invited to celebrate Canada Day at the Veterans Memorial Sports Complex (VMSC) on July 1 for a full day of family-friendly entertainment, local vendors, live music, and fireworks.
Festivities begin at 1:00 p.m., with a variety of activities for all ages. Visitors can browse local vendors and the night market, enjoy food from local food vendors, and take part in children’s activities, including bounce houses and other family attractions throughout the afternoon.
Live music takes centre stage beginning at 3:00 p.m., showcasing local talent and community spirit. Organizers are still accepting applications for the Battle of the Bands, providing an opportunity for local musicians to compete and perform in front of a large Canada Day audience.
Music starts at 3 PM with Battle of the Bands, featuring local talent competing for bragging rights and a chance to headline a future Town event.
Headlining the night: Incredibly Hip, a tribute to The Tragically Hip. Come sing along to the classics!
